I’m Mark and I have been a member of Wight Vision Camera Club for about five years.

For me, photography is a hobby and a way to preserve memories. I really enjoy being outdoors and visiting places in my spare time and I am rarely out and about without a camera.

 As with a lot of people, my interest in photography started when I was a child. My dad was a keen photographer and so I was using a camera from a young age.

I started with simple film cameras, then more capable film cameras, moved on to small digital cameras and eventually the DSLR that I still use.

I will have a go at photographing any subject that interests me, but my favourite subjects are aviation, wildlife and sport.'
