I started out my photography with a very battered hand-me-down Rolleicord TLR that had been dropped over a cliff before I got my grubby little hands on it, which lead to me becaming a Saturday trainee with a wedding photographer and learnt how to take meter readings, set-up reflectors and operate a big old Metz Flashgun.

Eventually I progressed to using a Mamiya C330 TLR and did some Portrait and wedding work but decided that wasn’t for me.

I needed to live so took an office job in a Car Windscreen Replacement Factory. Photography was put on the back burner for a number of years.

 

I had the opportunity to Photograph some very expensive and rare cars that were being restored by a customer. He liked what he saw asked me to do some more for his clients to see the progress on their cars. I managed to sell quite a few photos back to him before he met financial difficulties himself.

 

Again the Photography moved to the back burner. After some big life changes I had to sell all of my equipment. I did get a second-hand Practika MTL3 with a Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens but gradually lost interest due to a lack of funds. Many years later Digital Photography came along and re- ignited my interest, Being more financially secure I bought various compact cameras followed by a Fuji Bridge Camera up to Sony SLT Cameras now.

 

I have some modern glass but love using classic Minolta, Carl Zeiss Jena & Pentacon lenses on It.

These days photography is a passion for my own enjoyment ,with the added joy of selling the odd few online.
